    (why)

Ashland School District is experiencing a drop in enrollment, staff is finding it increasingly difficult to afford to live where they work, and there is a documented state-wide housing shortage. Availability of affordable housing has become a primary driver in where people choose to live, particularly households with children. Here lies a confluence with the conclusions drawn from Ashland’s 2023 Housing Production Strategy, which asserts a definite need for more affordable housing.
