Sunstone Housing Collaborative was established in December 2023 to support the educational mission of Ashland School District and the associated Housing Production Strategy of Ashland by creating community partnerships to develop mixed-income housing intended for district staff as well as families with children. The purpose of Sunstone’s work is to increase ASD student enrollment, help the district retain staff  and contribute to the flourishing of Ashland community members.

We recognize the challenges that are presented when a person is without safe, reliable shelter and the cascade of difficulties that can happen when that lack is reoccurring. Sunstone is determined to build and maintain community partnerships that combine the resources necessary to create a place that houses individuals and families in comfort, stability and beauty.

We hope to establish an opportunity in which to develop practices of inclusion, stewardship, inter-reliance and belonging. This is achieved in ongoing open communication and collaboration with our partners and residents through community events, neighborhood advisory committees, q&a sessions and surveys.
